Senior EU official: UK proposal fails to offer solution on customs

A senior EU official crossed the wires in the last hour, via Reuters, saying that the UK proposal for Brexit deal can't fly as it fails to offer solutions on customs and does not represent a basis for agreement.
 
Meanwhile, the British Pound seemed rather unaffected by the comments, with the GBP/USD pair hold steady, well within this week's familiar trading range, around the 1.2300 handle.
