Eurogroup conference: Greece submits new proposals, welcomed by Eurogroup
FXStreet (Córdoba) - Eurogroup Dijsselbloem said that Greece government has presented a new set of proposals at today’s meeting, which were welcome and a step in the right direction.
However, Eurogroup President argued that given the very short time the institutions had had, they could only give an initial assessment as technical work continues, starting immediately.
Dijsselbloem said that if possible, they will use these new Greek proposals as the basis for a deal. "If all goes well, we could reach a final agreement later this week". He stated the Eurogroup could hold a new Eurogroup meeting this week.
Dijsselbloem added they urged Greek government to work closely together with institutions in specifics and calculations.
